The secrets of the Sun

Aragonwon, thanks! Postcrossing card US-1229110.
Sweeping Prominence. This Extreme Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope image captures a sweeping prominence - a huge cloud of relatively cool, dense, plasma suspended in the Sun's hot, thin corona. Prominences can erupt, escaping the Sun's atmosphere. The hottest areas appear almost white, while the darker red areas indicate cooler temperatures.
